Your Kidneys Deserve a Specialist

The kidneys are among the most vital organs in your body — filtering over 200 litres of blood every day. When they struggle, it affects every system. Yet most people don't see a nephrologist (kidney specialist) until the damage is already advanced.

At Brain & Beans, Dr. Harsheel Gupta — one of the few DM Nephrology specialists in the Panchkula-Chandigarh region — provides early, precise, and preventive kidney care. Whether you have early-stage CKD, need dialysis guidance, or are post kidney transplant, you are in the right place.

"Kidney ki problem ko kidney specialist ko dikhao" — किडनी की बीमारी जितनी जल्दी पकड़ी जाए, उतना बेहतर इलाज होता है। (The earlier kidney disease is caught, the better the outcome.)

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a nephrologist treat?
A nephrologist is a kidney specialist who treats conditions like CKD (chronic kidney disease), acute kidney injury, kidney stones, glomerular diseases, electrolyte imbalances, and manages dialysis and kidney transplants.
What is creatinine and why is it high? (Creatinine kya hota hai?)
Creatinine is a waste product filtered by your kidneys. When kidneys are not working well, creatinine builds up in the blood. High creatinine (above 1.2 mg/dL in women, 1.4 mg/dL in men) is usually a sign of reduced kidney function and needs evaluation by a nephrologist.
Can CKD be reversed? (Kya kidney ki bimari thik ho sakti hai?)
CKD cannot usually be reversed, but its progression can be significantly slowed with early intervention, medication, diet control, and managing diabetes and blood pressure. Early treatment can protect your remaining kidney function for many years.
At what creatinine level is dialysis needed?
Dialysis is typically considered when creatinine becomes very high along with symptoms like vomiting, breathlessness, fluid overload, or when GFR falls below 10–15 mL/min. The decision is always made individually based on symptoms and test results.
Is dialysis permanent?
Not always. In acute kidney injury, kidneys can recover and dialysis can be stopped. In end-stage CKD, dialysis is usually lifelong unless a kidney transplant is done.
